i am going to try my best not to sound like a broken record, OH MY WORD! let me just say, Gossamer Blue's July kit ROCKS! seriously! Lori never ceases to amaze me, but WOW! i was on a roll creating. literally, i did not want to stop. this month i made four layouts + my project life entry. i honestly could have made more layouts. matter of fact, i had two more sketched out. but time was limited and i am super excited and ever so pleased with all that i did manage to create this month
first up, "Funny Faces"... page was created using the main kit. the main kit is filled with wonderful papers and embellies from Elle's Studio, Fancy Pants, Skippings, etc. LOTS of goodness.
i love love this text pattern paper tons, used the Cameo to pre-cut open circles to back with stickers and a variety of elements throughout the page.
machined stitched three rows of the vellum paper that i embellished with stickers, flair buttons and photos. my daughters silly facial expressions cracked me up. i was going through a series of pictures and when i came across these photos, they had me cracking up. wondering what she was thinking at the time i captured the moment. but i love them. and she wants all to know she picked out the title for my page... hahaha. love when she contributes :)
the next two layouts were created using a mix of all the add-on kits, color kit and little bits of the main kit.
"the White House" layout is probably my favorite out of the bunch. inspired by a layout i created here and love how this one turned out. last summer, Corinne & i had the opportunity to tour a little part of D.C. w/ my friend, Linda. this was our first time seeing the White House up close.
and look who helped in deciding which Polaroid die-cut to use on my page? this debate when on for a good 10 minutes... i won! hahaha. saving it for another project, unless she swiped it already, ha!
for this page, i used the package of die-cuts by Simple Stories by cutting them up, tucking them behind the strips of paper and allowing a few to fall off the page. i really like how the page flows with the square photos overlapping each other.
lastly, my "Love Ya" page uses Mitchel Crafts papers from the main kit and elements from the color kit. i'm a sucker for wood grain and had to use it as my background with the entire sheet of chalkboard stickers by American Crafts....LOVE!!!!!
this was a quick page to create, once i sized down and secured the sheet of chalkboard stickers, i used a few sticker and die-elements to complete my page. i also used the white Quilter's Choice pencil the came w/ the color kit for my journaling and the fabulous stamp inked in white! i didn't want to cover all the chalkboard pieces b/c then i figured it would look too crowded and busy. keeping it to a minimum works.
my boy when we were in Connecticut last summer... i had forgotten about these photos of him. i don't have many of him like i used to, so it was nice to create a page of just him!
