blog updated + GB kit sneaks...

i have been debating about my facebook page a lot lately and the number of friends i have and decided to scale things back. it has been really difficult to keep up with family and close friends on my news feed that i decided to create a separate scrapbook page. this is something i really didn't want to do, like i need one more thing added to my list. if you by chance missed my statement about the new facebook page cliebelscraps and find yourself no longer friends w/ my personal facebook page, i apologize for the inconvenience and short notice. this has really been a difficult thing to do, "de-friending". my heart felt really bad doing this. please know that it is nothing personal what so ever. if you'd like to keep up with me other than through my scrapbook page, you can always follow me through instagram. thanks so much for understanding...

on a lighter note... thought i'd share a few sneak peek images of the lasted Gossamer Blue August kits...

Gossamer Blue | etched metal bracelet...

hey everyone, it's been quiet around here, i know. i'm just thrilled to mark things off my to-do list so i can add more to it!

So, today's project is all about metal etching with Gossamer Blue Stamps. i've always wanted to try out this technique but never took the time to do so, until i found out i could make up my own solution using household products and a few things we'd never think about buying.

below are a few examples as to what i'm talking about... then you can read more about how i etched the design onto metal using Gossamer Blue's exclusive stamps (available in the main kit only) over on the GB blog today...

have a lovely day, xoxo!!

summer + arm accessory sneak...

a while back i shared a link on facebook, 1970's summer, which brought back a ton of childhood memories. i thought it would be fun for the kids to have a similar experience as we did growing up.

i love the concept and ideas and so far, we've accomplished a handful of them... i'm not sure if we could actually get number 4 done though. the amount of money it costs to see a movie is pretty hefty... really wish we had a drive-in theater though; that would be awesome! and believe it or not, i've allowed them to eat an awful lot of junk/candy. my gosh, the excitement on their faces when they ask if they can have more than one ice cream sandwich or eight cookies or a few packs of pez kids candy is so cute. not to mention they've quenched their thirst by drinking a full pitcher of pink lemonade in one day, insane!

i have not seen both of my babies since Saturday... Tyler's buddy Ace, slept over for two days and they couldn't bare to be apart, so Ty is hanging out w/ Ace and his family for two days. Corinne is also hangin' w/ her bestie for two days, celebrating her friends birthday. she even packed extra clothes just in case the opportunity came... hehe, love it! they come home today and i can not wait to see them and hear about all the fun they've had over the past few days.

and i've been spending ample time at my workbench creating some new arm accessories that i am really excited about. hope to have them listed in the shop over the next few days... by the end of the week for sure!

...enjoy your Monday!!

Gossamer Blue | enjoy the ride...

did you have a great 4th? it was pretty laid back, low key for us, but really nice. we didn't do too much this year. we enjoyed fireworks this year at a friends house, which was nice and the kids enjoyed themselves.

lately, i haven't been consistent w/ my fitness lately and it is showing. i have been slacking, mostly b/c of my upper right thigh causing me issues. i continue to work on making it feel better though. i decided to start up w/ some crossfit workouts. i'm really looking forward to something new and different. speaking of fitness, today's layout share is a selfie during one of my many bike rides last year... i used a mix of products from Gossamer Blue's add-ons and life pages kits.

the July papers and project life cards linear designs and geometric shapes are truly amazing... so, i mixed them all up onto one layout. a seemingly simple page that took forever to create... why is that? my cowgirl layout i did took all of 40 minutes and yet, go figure!

Page Maps | July sketch, poolside...

hey everyone, my layout share today showcases PageMaps July sketch. i'm a sucker for small photos in a page design and i love how simple the sketch was and easy to use.

i loved the floral and polka dots throughout the sketch, which inspired my use of circle elements on my layout and mixed it up with diago
nal lines in my title treatment.

these photo are some of my favorites from last summer. the kids had such a great time playing together by the pool... and of course, i can never get enough of their humor!

and if you haven't yet, register for PageMaps University Layout Class 2. there are LOTS and LOTS of sketch ideas and inspiration from a fabulous group of talent for a great deal!!

Gossamer Blue | July main kit, cowgirl...

summer is in full swing around here... w/ the exception of being at the beach. we were suppose to hang out at the lake the week after the kids were out of school, but w/ preparing for a wedding, my parents visit and getting Tyler ready for his week long summer camp, the sandy shores of the lake (and beach for that matter) was low on the list. this week, the kids and i are just chillin', recouping from the busy last two weeks of June. and they are not going to like the next few days - starting today - we (they mostly) will be going through ALL the toy bins through the house and their bedrooms. donating, tossing it all away and so forth. my task is to go through all the large baskets of books and magazines, weeding through what to keep, donate and recycle. this is a task i do not like while they are on summer vacation. but it's the best time to get it done and NOW so we can continue having a fun summer... and hit up the lake and beach :)

anyway, onto some crafty goodness. June was also a busy scrapbooking month for me. many extra assignments to fulfill, which at the moment, i can not share, just yet! at one point i lost that mojo and had to mentally regroup and move on. and of course, what better way to do so when you are given some of the most amazing scrappy products. Gossamer Blue's July's main kit was beautiful. i especially loved the pattern papers by Traci Reed and One Little Bird. my word was i in heaven with those pretty papers. and the digital die-cuts and printables... LOVE all around i tell ya!

enough rambling... my layout using a good majority of the products found in the July main kits...

this layout came together fairly quickly for me, rarely happens. the overall design i just love and love how it's fairly bright with pops of color and shows off my girls sweet smile... and those dimples!!!!

thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Wednesday... xo!
