weekend things...

over the long weekend, we...

celebrated Corinne's 7th birthday with confetti cake and dinner at Red Robin | ate smores for lunch | shopped for tile and bought a new light fixture for my studio | did a lot of yard work | put up another shelf for my growing camera wall | played in the water and pool | hung out with our friends | are excite to see our asparagus peeking through and tomatoes growing | are super happy to see our fuji and granny apples trees growing apples | found film that needs to be developed in my granddads old Kodak camera | devoured pork spare ribs, shrimp kabobs, grilled sausages, corn on the cob and sipped on wine and beer | and enjoyed the PERFECT weather!

Gossamer Blue | paper lanterns...

hello crafty friends... it's almost mid May and the days are longer, brighter and warmer and i am loving it!! i spruced up a little corner in our kitchen with some colorful paper lanterns. i used almost all of the pretty pattern papers from GB's May kits... you can easily embellish each one or leave them as is, hang the in a cluster of 3 or more or alone or make them big or tiny. i like having them strung running across from wall to wall. instructions for these pretties, can be found on the Gossamer Blue blog that went live today...

happy National Scrapbook Day!

sending much love to all of the creative souls celebrating NSD!! hope you have a great day whether you're creating, documenting through the lens or shopping for plenty of scrappy pretties! i i wish i was spending the day in my studio creating, but instead, i opted to spend my day running through mud, water and obstacles at the rugged maniac.

but, i am happy to share another Gossamer Blue layout w/ all my scrappy friends... My Sunshine, uses lots of goodies from this months add-ons and Life Pages kits. i used 3x4 cards to create my background and embellished each card with stickers, flair, gems, etc. the glittered polaroid frames are my fave! i love them. they are so fun and i love how they brighten up my photos.

gossamer blue | May kit, hello girl...

hello May 1st :)

Gossamer Blue's May kits released earlier today and they are packed with a colorful abundance of awesome products by Heidi Swapp, Lawn Fawn, Allison Kreft, to name a few! today i'm sharing my layout using the main kit only, plus main kit digital files. all can be found here.

loved all the pretty pattern papers in this months kit so much on my "Hey Girl" layout. her happiness in this photo reminds me of how much fun childhood can be. played around with texture on this page, using machine stitching, heat embossing, dimensional circles and more.
